As an addition to this, how about a "slug-howto" list / 
archive as well. I know there are heaps of how-tos out 
there for Linux, but I'm thinking of something aimed at 
the newbies (i.e. Moi !!), along the lines of a step-by-
step to how to get a "x" working, where "x" can be 
network card, sound card, tape drive, ppp, gateway, etc.

Possibly better suited to a web page ?
