I listened to him speak at Linux World Expo last year. They had the
keynote by Linus with a couple of thousand people in the main hall, it
was huge. A few hours later RMS was speaking, his room was a small
lecture room, would hold about 150. There were about 20 people there,
the guy was devistated. Despite the emotion this brought out in him he
gave a fantastic talk. I just digged out the audio tape (I recorded the
session) and it has brought back all the great memories. The guy is a
legend!
Here is a photo I took of Linus and RMS on stage. Once he got it RMS was
not going to let go of that microphone.

Here is RMS in the lecture mentioned above. At the end doned the famous
hard drive platter and a religious looking coat to recite his free
software song.
