Correction:
I didn't have the original details with me,
The IP Range allocated by telstra was:
203.42.218.120/129
usable address range:
203.42.218.121/126
203.42.218.127 is the broadcast address
and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.248
The IP address on our side of the PPP link was set by me in ignorance,
but it seemed to work at the time because access to the machines on the
private network range was only via proxy.
If you needed access to the internet, you had to log into the host with
a real IP address. I set this up this way because it is simple and
fairly secure.
