{snorts}

I bought a USR HST Veverything Courier probably 7 years ago now.

It's run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year since then on my
BBS and my internet connections.

It's been upgraded twice - both with flash upgrades - from the original
"28k8" standard to true V34, then to 56k - each time without flaw.

It's never broken, failed, or even had a problem connecting to _any_ other
modem I've tried to connect to.

In the same time I've watched my Banksia V34 blow up twice, go through 3
powerpacks, and have continual problems connecting to other modems - to
the point that it's now retired permanently, and lives in a box.

Speaking from tried and proven experience - the USR kicks arse. I'll never
buy another brand of modem again.

Ever.

DaZZa

P.S. COmments apply ONLY to the Courier. Sportsters are on a par with the
Banksia - cheap, mass produced junk.
