[SLUG] Hiding stuff from the taskbar

Hello, i'm running LICQ on my machine and everytime I start it, it shows 
"LICQ" in the "taskbar" of icewm (or gnome-panel) or whatever. How can I 
prevent this from happening ? What's the best option here ?

Basically to be able to have LICQ running an quickly accessable while 
keeping it out of the taskbar ?
