Re: [SLUG] MS Outlook to Netscape mail conversion

I should write a howto about this

You need two machines (one with the gates virus on it of course!)
(or win4lin or vmware will do)

For most distributions there should be a imap server there so usually it's
only a matter of removing the # from /etc/inetd.conf and reloading it.

Once that is done you can just fire up oe and setup the imap account, then
just move your messages from the outlook expresses local folders to the
imap server.

Of course usually the imap server has written mbox files anyway which
netscape can directly read to import the email, or better still secure the
imap server and leave it there so you can use any email client you wish to
read your email.

The other option is just to take the mbox files and put them in netscapes
mail path.

Anyway worked for me. It can even apply to get those hotmail messages!
(using oe5)
