Re: [SLUG] Star Office 5.2
Aint tried so5-2. Quite happy with so5-1 @nospam. the moment, but am quite eager to
upgrade as for the same reason... 5-1 somehow screws up MS's formatting..
kinda hard for resume readers and so forth.. hehe...
I aint got the java side of things quite working out with so... but I aint
use it. I'm just a plain ol office user.. (where's TeX.. hehe)...

Subject: [SLUG] Star Office 5.2
Just installed Star Office 5.2. Fantastic. Well ok it imports Word and
Excel format much much better. Documents that 5.1 would screw up are
now formatted and printed properly.
Didn't recognise my Jave 1.1.7 installation so have to sort that out
and it failed to run tournament.xls properly (cheeky excel spread sheet
with a macro in it, but close damn close, shows everything just doesn't
do the macro thing).
So if you're thinking about SO5-2 definitely worth the effort.
