[SLUG] Web - email software round-up

I spent the day looking for software to enable email via a web browser-
ideally something open-source, which runs on the server, accesses any
account anywhere by IMAP and which is is for relatively sophisticated
users.

I made a page of what I found, which also links to other lists of such
software.
