RE: [SLUG] Optus cable ... once again..



I'm actually using the RedHat 6.1 version called dhcpc or something
similar..

I remember that in /etc/sysconfig/network has a host name in there too but I
didn't try it at the time.

From my experience the host name is required (atleast I couldn't get an ip
without it), if you're using dhclient you can specify the hostname in the
/etc/dhclient.conf file, for more info check the sample dhclient.conf that
come with it.
