If you are using mgetty, uncomment the PPP section in login.config (RedHat
it is /etc/mgetty+sendfax/login.config)
/AutoPPP/ -     a_ppp   /usr/sbin/pppd auth -chap +pap login debug
Then mgetty will auto switch to PPP
no scipt needed in Windoze.

Add this to /etc/ppp/pap-secrets:
ian     *       ""      *
This will allow ian to login and auto switch to PPP and authenticate with
pap. (using "ian" in /etc/passwd)
