[SLUG] Rockwell HCF Modem on linux?

Hi Sluggers

Can anyone help me with anecdotal experiance? I busy creating a new linux
convert here. The person has a Rockwell HCF 56k internal pci modem which I
am trying to get to work under linux (Mandrake 7.0) for him.

Lothar, kudzu etc don't detect it. I tried the Rockwell modem site with no
joy and I tried the Linuxcare site which raised two comments, both
mentioning they had had no luck getting it to work. Can anyone refer me to
some info that will help me? My friend is a little sceptical at the thought
of having to swap out his hardware to get this new OS to work!
