Yes I guess so. Does anyone remember the internet Oracle (and I don't
mean the database company). You'd ask it a question by email and in
return you'd have to answer someone else's question but you never knew
who answered your question, it was just 'the oracle'.

My point is that we're trying to intercept questions before they get
to the mailing list and become clutter.

I think a lot of people supporting Linux commercially would be
referring people to SLUG and giving them the URL. I do this at
EverythingLinux so I know it happens. If people want to help
themselves I refer them, if they want me to do all the hard work they
pay. Also, you'd have media coverage from magazines and newspapers and
even other smaller user groups.

One thing that might be worth a look at simply for some ideas is the
WikiWeb. I did one on my machine
http://zzz.penguinpowered.com/wiki/html/GRiPZ
(umm this is in my bedroom and sometimes I turn the machine off if the
fan keeps me awake).
