I happily use vim at the moment, but have used Lemmy (demo
version: it's shareware) and the vi mode of CodeWrite.  The
latter is actually incredibly slick, but costs.

I guess I'm just incredibly happy when I can have the vi
commands under my fingers, instead of all of that annoying
mousing that the standard windows editors require.

I can't say that I've noticed many differences in vim, but I
think that I run it in "compatible" mode, rather than it's
enhanced mode.
