Well if you look at the top 100 books on Amazon.com you have to wait till
number 44 for the first computer book, and its "XML by Example". I did not
see an OReilly one in the list.

My guess would be that they can cost more to produce, as the need skilled
authors, more reviewers and editors. The have a short shelf life and a
much smaller market.

Why dont you Ask Tim http://www.oreilly.com/ask_tim/ You will probably get
a good answer.

I have always found the OReilly books worth the money.
