[SLUG] SSI and Apache

Hi all,

I'm a little confused. Does Apache support SSI or not as I tried the below
line and nothing happens.

<--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/counter.cgi"-->

I even tried full path and so on..

works if it use the
<img src="/cgi-bin/counter.cgi">
but of course there is no picture as it's a hidden counter and i get the X
screen come up..

Any ideas what to check to get the exec going?
