That's great news. Thanks Terry. My past experience with Toshibas (Tecra
8000) was very good. On the notebooks in question, the only problem was
Winblows 98 crashing very regularly on one in particular. I came to the
conclusion (very correctly I believe) that the problems were simply
_software_ based. (The manager where I was believed fair dinkum that the
_hardware_ _must_ have been faulty.)
This raises the point (again) of how frustrating it must be for OEMs
proudly releasing and selling their new beut super dooper machines, and
then having all these demands for refunds, returns, warranty claims, etc
because Winblows just screws up.
I went to a client a month or so ago - they had just bought a few weeks
prior a brand new top of the line HP PIII desktop with DVD, etc, etc. They
were just so frustrated at how the machine had been unstable basically
since day one..... Windoze 98 SE problems. Now M$ expects the world to
adopt Windoze "ME"?? Back to the trenches.
