[SLUG] Hidden Applications

I am using Sawmill as my Window Manager and I would like to hide applications
from the taskbar such as XMMS and LICQ, cause really they're supposed to be
open all the time but I dont want to see them there.

There is not Systray in Linux is there ? What's the common way to do something
like this ? Use another workspace ? (Atm this is how I do it :)
