[SLUG] Good LCD monitor?

My old 17" has finally conked out (right now I'm looking at a
purple-scale screen...) so to make it feel like it was in vain, I want
to replace it with a good LCD monitor.

I want one that does at least 1280x1024.  Anyone know of one that they
have used and would recommend? or warn me about? :)
