[SLUG] Network card failure after about 10 secs

Hi all,

I have just built a new server consisting of a Aopen server motherboard
that consists of an onboard intel network adapter.

It autodetects the card and loads correctly. On restartting the driver I
can ping various workstations for about 10-20 seconds then I get
"Destination Host Unreachable". I can also ping form the workstations to
the server during this time.

I have tried different versions of the intel drivers with no luck all
seem to display same properties, I have attempted change interupts, io,
speed of card etc with no luck.

Any ideas on what I should be looking for.
