[SLUG] What's so great about qmail?
Gentlefolk,
After reading the wonferful things people are oft wont to pontificate
about the beneficial wonders of qmail, I had a rush of blood to the head
and decided to install it on my RH6.2 system and remove the 'cursed
sendmail.
Terrific.
Now if I try to send mail using pine, it seems to work but if I use my
much preferred EXMH, I get a message eg
"david.fisher at start.com.au: loses; [USER] 553 sorry,
that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
send: message not deliverable to anyone"
Likewise, if I try to retrieve mail using fetchmail, I get nothing in the
download and if I run it with -v, embedded among the message lines are
unfriendly things like
"fetchmail: SMTP listener doesn't like recipient address `david@nospam.localhost'"
and
fetchmail: RCPT TO:<david@nospam.localhost>
fetchmail: SMTP< 533 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed
rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
What have I done wrong? Sendmail readdressing was never this frustrating.
David
