Gnome
Alan Cox and the linux kernel
I find it the line distinguishing linux applications from linux
(linux kernel) being blurred more and more.
Redhat, Suse, Debian, Slackware, LDP, TurboLinux etc, etc, etc
all share in common that they all use the "Linux" kernel.
This is what linux IS. not a bunch of bloated applications
distributed by vendors.
Which one of these vendors does more to forwarding the linux kernel?
Next time someone plugs in their i740 video will they remember who
paid for the devel of the linux drivers?
How many of the people whining about linux distributions are subscribed
to the
kernel mailing list?
