[Unhelpful plug: both OpenBSD and FreeBSD come with ssh and sshd
 installed as standard now.]

What's wrong with the linux port of openssh linked-to from openssh.com?

The original/canonical source for [not completely open] ssh is
ftp://ftp.cs.hut.fi/pub/ssh/
