Ok - but do these boxes have clearly marked on the outside 
exactly what chipset they are and so on?

I have, more than once tried to buy gear based on a description
of the product by some ID code that turns out to be totally 
unsupported even though the code says it *should* be. 

I'm sure some of you scsi card people know what I mean.....
