100BaseTX merely describes the cable and data speed, NOT the half/full
duplex mode. 100BaseFX is, in fact, Fibre Optic LAN and a completely
separate networking situation. 100BaseTX can be either half or full
duplex, but this is sorted out by the hardware and software.
100BaseFX is full or half duplex depending on the number of fibre
channels available. A single 'wire' gives simplex mode, two 'wires'
allows duplex.

The hardware and/or software determines the duplex state, and as hubs
are half-duplex, that's your limitation.
