With my cards I had to use the dos/windows setup program to change
the duplex settings. Also check the kernel source for your driver,
which is think is /usr/src/linux/drivers/net/3c59x.c

It looks like your card is setup for automagically selecting 10/100
full/half duplex, I don't know how you would find out what it
selected, though. If ifconfig reports some collisions, then I think
its safe to say you are in half duplex mode, because full duplex
disables collision detect.
