[ProgSoc] Suggestions for Linux backup solutions
Hey guys,
Debian is working great so far, so thanks all for your suggestions -
the package management is great, and while I've got a bit of a
learning curve from Fedora, I've been managing fine so far.
Now I have the basic system setup, with a little more work to do, my
next step is to get a backup system organized. At the moment, I think
I've got two options, a secondary hard drive in the current server or
a separate machine entirely. What are your recommendations on
software applications and setups for backup procedures. I mainly want
to do regular mySQL dumps, backups of the httpd directories where
websites are stored and some config files for a few things I'm running.
Thanks,
James Kirsop
