[ProgSoc] Spam lovely spam...

So why is it that the list accepts email from any old address?
Why not set it to subscibers only, given that so few people post on it
anyway and they all know each other. It's an email list for a club, it
makes sense that you need to be vetted as a member before you can
post.
It would hopefully stop the spam and viruses that have been flooding
my inbox from the progsoc list lately.
