I have successfully transferred money to a St. George account before, 
using Commbank Netbank. In fact, that's how I pay my rent, so I have in 
fact been proving that such a thing works every two weeks for the past 
year and a half. :-)

Could you give more information than "It doesn't seem to work"? 
Alternatively, could somebody else who has tried transferring 
specifically to the ProgSoc account give it another try?

As you've probably guessed by now, it was intended to mean that you can 
indeed transfer money electronically, using direct debit.
