They are just like normal CD-Rs, except smaller. U can put about 30Megs on
one. Authoring software is exactly the same as ur run-of-the-mill CD
burning software. It should have come with ur cd burner for windows, or
cdrecord for linux. They are very loud inside high-speed CD drives, and
some DVD players advise you not to use non-circular discs inside them, but
I haven't had any problems. Then again, I ain't never put one inside a DVD
player.

I keep one in my wallet with a copy of R.I.P. linux on it for emergency
system repair situations (alongside the credit-card shaped swiss army
knife)

They are also really handy for keeping ur pgp private key and keyring on,
so as to have it with you all the time.

As for labels, I got no idea. I write on them with a texta. I suspect some
of the standard labelling software would deal with them.
