Hmm, I just bought a HP DesignJet 10ps --- sort of your basic entry
graphics designer printer. Rather large, very noisy and extremely expensive.
But able to do proofs on A3; uses 6 inkwells and can be calibrated via
CYMK and RGB. As a bonus it comes with a RIP.

Use Kinkos until you can afford something decent; your only problem with
Kinkos will be they won't change paper weight for you.
