[ProgSoc] Why "ftoomsh"?

Okay, I'm sure this has been asked before, but the thought has been nagging me 
for some time, what is the progsoc server naming system based on?  I mean 
really, "nobody ever says ftoomsh", so where did it come from?

I've checked the old TFM, and there's no mention, nor on the website, so does 
anyone know?
