Wanted: Linux / Java skills.
We are looking for an individual with Linux / Java skills to join us in
pursuing an opportunity to distribute a point of sale system for the
espresso bar & specialty coffee business market. Prefer skills appropriate
to load, configure & assist with testing a touch screen Point of Sale system.
The software we expect to use exists and is largely complete. It is based
on the following Architecture:
ˇ Java 2 Platform
ˇ OS: Linux
ˇ Database, InterbaseŽ from Borland (IPL)
ˇ JavaPOS open standard for peripheral support
ˇ Scanning or touch screen menu retail environments
The partner/employee that we are looking for would:
* Support the test and implementation of the SW in our espresso bar(s)
which would act as the reference and demonstration sites.
* Assist us in packaging the system for sale and distribution over the
Internet (possibly through our web site:
* Share in the revenue generated.
We would expect that the appropriate person could "keep their day job"
while pursuing this opportunity. Flexible financial arrangement and schedule.
