[ProgSoc] MICQ Problems??

Morning all.

Has anyone been experiencing problems with MICQ and/or other non-genuine
clients over the last week or 2?  I have downloaded and compiled the
latest version on Ftoomsh but no go.

From my end, I can log on and see who's on, but any messages I send to
anyone disappear into the aether.  The same is true for other people using
the latest version of a non-genuine client (Gerry's ICQ for Mac), but the
problems disappear with the installation of the genuine one.

Am I alone in this problem, or has someone at icq.com changed something?  
Not having ICQ on progsoc is becoming annoying!
