I doubt it is Windows 2000. At work, we have several machines running
various versions of Windows 2000 with two network cards, at least one
with three and a cluster of two machines, each with two network cards.
These all run without a problem. In the machine with three network
adapters, one of those connects to the a Cisco router that connects to
the internet via Frame Relay (ironically provided by Telstra) and we've
had very little trouble with them.
When you say the Telstra guys said your network card didn't work, did
you try another?
