Engineers wear boots, it saves your toes when people drop machinery
parts on the floor. Be suspicious of anyone calling themselves an engineer
but wearing open-toe shoes.

A fire in your room can easily spread. Then again on orientation day
the fire doors in building 2 on the corners of level 4 were locked
and still had lit up EXIT signs pointing to them so if there had been
a fire amongst the union club stands that crowded the entrance of building 2
(where it connects to building 1) then there would have been a lot of people
running toward the exit sign an wondering what to do next. I'll believe that
UTS is serious about fire regulations when I see fire drills in building 1
and when that alarm near level 8 that mysteriously turns on and off at random
times decides to either turn on with the rest of the alarms in the building
or not turn on at all.
