In as many words, yes. I think I received 2 Australian e-commerce
provider suggestions to look at, and they both charged chunky monthly fees
like $30 or $50 or so -- there you're looking at a huge hit per year.
St George (our bank, right now) has lots of funky options for e-commerce
that seem to overlap a bit ... BPay would be nice but I can't find pricing
details. So I've asked them to get back to me on that one.
Their eCash looks like a mini alternative, but that has chunky monthly
fees by the look of it.
PayPal was a goer for a while there -- only fees are tiny transaction ones
-- but it turns out that "Now International!" means you can pay out of
Australia (using credit cards) and into the US, but you can only pay into
the US, and now UK and Germany and somewhere else. You have to open a US
bank account to get paid still. D'oh.
(I'd love to be corrected on any of this!)

A more dynamic web site will be a high priority for the 2001 Executive,
possibly :)
