Thanks, I'll do that.  In the mean time I gave it a go and upon
reboot, the system was unable to mount my root partition and asked me to
provide a correct one at the "root=".  It is set
root=/dev/hda6 but it won't recognise it for some reason?  Anyone
come across this before or can hazzard a guess at what I should look
at?
