[ProgSoc] Atos Origin - Site Monitoring
Dear Students,
Atos Origin want several people to cover all the shifts, they dont
want individual people applying instead they want a group of friends
to do the work & if one is unable to do shift eg exams then
someonelse would have to cover. Please note the hours.
Pay: $20 per hour.
Parking: Free undercover parking available
Location: North Sydney

>SCOPE OF DUTIES
>
> Basic monitoring of data centre environment.
> - respond to and escalate any alarms where appropriate
> - report on same
> Monitor after hours engineers (both internal and sometimes 3rd
>party) and control access to the data centre.
> Change backup tapes at scheduled times.
> Liaise with Off-site storage couriers to exchange tapes at scheduled
>times.
> Some light duties such as loading paper in printers and
>photocopiers.
> Answering designated telephones.
> Physically walk around the environment at scheduled intervals
>(every 2 hours) to check the premises.
> Fill in register of activities.

>PROPOSED SHIFTS
>
> The rostering of personnel will revolve around a 2 week cycle
>comprising of:

> Monday to Friday - 7pm to 7am - no more than 2 evenings per week
>(excluding any weekend hours)
> Saturday 7am to Sunday 7am - 6 x 8 hours shifts. i.e. 7am-3pm,
>3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am.
> Public holidays falling on a Monday to Friday - an additional 12
>hour shift (7am - 7pm) will be scheduled.

>ESSENTIAL SKILLS
>
> Has an organised approach to work undertaken.
> Shows basic oral and written communication skills.
> Displays a responsible attitude to following procedures, keeping
>records, and caring for equipment and other assets.
> Shows ability to carry out simple oral or written instructions
>efficiently and reliably.
> Working co-operatively (rather than competitively) with others to
>achieve a common goal.
> Applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that
>nothing is overlooked
> The use of everyday desktop software. Examples: word processing,
>spreadsheets, graphics.
