If you've got a modem and printer already, you've probably got a monitor
already too??

I jusy bought a system from ComputerOnline (www.computeronline.com.au) for
$2005 spec's are:

Athlon 900MHz
128Mb ram
20Gb WesternDigital HDD
DVD drive
CDRW 8x4x32
32Mb TNT2
SoundBlaster Live

I wasn't interested in a better graphics card cause I'm not a gamer
(please don't flame me just for that) No monitor, i've got a 21' Sony at
home already which work has kindly lent me, no modem i've already got one,
no speakers.

This was the price before christmas, the prices have come down a lot since
then and you'll probably be able to get a 1GHz+ for simmilar money.
