RE: [ProgSoc] buying computers - Price
If you've got a modem and printer already, you've probably got a monitor
I jusy bought a system from ComputerOnline (www.computeronline.com.au) for
$2005 spec's are:
20Gb WesternDigital HDD
I wasn't interested in a better graphics card cause I'm not a gamer
(please don't flame me just for that) No monitor, i've got a 21' Sony at
home already which work has kindly lent me, no modem i've already got one,
This was the price before christmas, the prices have come down a lot since
then and you'll probably be able to get a 1GHz+ for simmilar money.
>Um, $1800-$2500 I think. We spent $3300 last time. I think we'd rather
>spend more, to get something that will last longer. But not above $3000.
>Its not on a tight budget, we also have a modem and printer already.
