You'll find that dispensed coke as such is created pretty much from a 
reconstituted syrup that's just run through with carbonic acid (carbonated 
water), basically a cola cordial... As a result the Coke you get from McD's 
is thicker, sweeter and therefore more concentrated than canned Coca-Cola, 
and thus has more electrolytic qualities...

How do I know this? Back before Coca-Cola was Coca-Cola it was first used as 
a headache cure... sold at the soda-fountains/drug stores of the States... 
One soda-jerk decided to permeate soda water through the syrup at the 
request of one such patron to the soda fountain who was then suffering from 
a headache... The headache wasn't cured, but the drink caught on...

And how's this for a double whammy, Coca-Cola obtains part of its name from 
the very fact that it's original recipe didn't contain caffeine, but 
cocaine... Crack dealers back then in the early 1900's were pissed off at 
the soda-fountains for stealing their clientele... The Coca-Cola company 
changed their act and substituted the cocaine for caffeine because of the 
addictive effects some 10 to 15 years later...

I think the real question would be, would our CPS work better with the 
original recipe? ;)
