[ProgSoc] libresolv.so? libresolv.a?

Dear all,

    I was compiling on Solaris. The makefile got the -lresolv for the
linking options, however I got an undefined symbol 'dn_skipname' during its
linking. I checked /usr/lib which there're some libresolv.so, so.1, so.2,
but there's no .a. According to the gcc man the linker will look for lib*.a,
how should I solve this?
