[ProgSoc] HTTP submit status

Howdy folks!

Another good one from Luci's endless questions pipeline:

We all know how good it is that we can see a percentage bar while our
favourite browser downloads a document... Imagine the life without one...

Well, as it hapens (to the best of my knowledge) this status only works
inbound. There is no obvious facility for the outbound browser traffic (for
form submission - or FILE UPLOAD).

* Is there a way to get POST (HTTP/PUT) upload status out of the browser?
