That usually is the case but for some reason the motherboard BIOS also has
an option for booting SCSI. Maybe this just means ``don't boot IDE'' so that
the SCSI card gets a chance to take control. The current card does have some
utilities in its onboard ROM but I can't find an option to make it boot.
Anyhow, the new SCSI card should have a bootable BIOS and it might make
the situation clear. Not that I really care about having a small IDE drive
to boot off but Anton seems to have problems with the concept of putting
in an extra drive for this purpose. I guess that the space could be better
used for something else but at the moment I am not sure what.
