There's a chance it has changed since I looked at it in response to people
actually complaining, but when I typed in (say) "neurotic effects of
marijuana", the page it returned said in the title 'Pages with "neurotic
effects of"' - it had omitted the censored word from the actual search
rather than not find any pages with that word.
