Make 5 marks of their assessment depend on them being progsoc members,
take the whole class to the AGM and sign them up. After paying full fees,
another $10 won't kill them and at least the turn-out will be bigger
than 20 people.

If its a programming class tell them that you will only mark assignments
emailed to you that run on ftoomsh. If it is a business class then tell
them that they must hire progsoc members to do their assignments. If it is
a management class tell them that they must organise a progsoc meeting where
more than 20 people turn up. If it is a humanities class then tell them that
they have to find creative ways to encourage progsoc members to give them
the answer to their assignment. (does that cover all the cases?)
