there is a modified version of "The GIMP" (www.gimp.org) that is under
devlopment that will allow you to edit high res video (at like 4M per
fram type resolution). i unfortunately cant rememebr the name of the
project, but i did find a link to it from the gimp homepage
(somewhere). this would probably be available for a very low cost and
on a variety of platforms and hardware.
