[ProgSoc] Floppy drive not working.

Hey.. I am new to linux and i have a problem with my floppy drive.
when i mount my floppy drivein linux this message comes up.. why cant i
access the drive??
EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended

i went to run e2fsck but there were so many switches.. and yeah I dont
knwo what is wrong.. and it also saidthat it can stuff the device or
something..
hmm 
but yeah I bootup off the floppy drive.. but when i mount the drive it
wont read from it..
if i goto the floppy and type ls
and error comes up saying no file or directory...
