[ProgSoc] sparcLinux/ultraPenguin on a Sparc 5
Hey folks. A question for the sparclinux crowd: I'd like to replace the
Slowaris on this SparcStation5 I am currently typing on with linux and
thus have access to the plethora of niceness I enjoy on my x86 linux box.
It has an ugly small screen so I'd like to use the sparc's one and play
with GNOME, Enlightenment, et al.
Possible? Easy? Hard? Nightmare? I have zero knowledge of the differences
between SparcLinux and x86 so I'd appreciate any handy hints you'd like
to share on how to go about upgrading my machine. I notice progsoc
mirrors sparclinux stuff on the ftp site. :)
Oh, and I guess if I manage to get it all working on this little sparc5
I'll know all about how to install it.. and can attempt to get it to run
on an E10k domain whilst no one is looking.. ;) I wonder how many
bogomips it'd be...
