[ProgSoc] open source trademark

 Howdi,

Just reading the blurb put out by Software In the Public
Interest, Inc (SPI), regarding the open-source trademark
dispute. This is the first I've heard of it, and I'm
curious on why everyone's getting tetchy about it. Is
OSI (apart from having a bad choice of acronyms) a 'bad'
group of people? I thought Bruce was one of the good guys?
Of course.. it's all opinion, but that's what I was seeking.

 The open-letter <tm> is available at :

 Jedd.

PS. I'll be watching for any fuel for the ftoomsh/Redhat
 .v. SPI/Debian conspiracy theory. :)
