[ProgSoc] Linux everywhere

Looks like the liberation has begun. I walked into the Co-op Bookshop
this week and (well is it just me?) I found a whole range of flashy Linux
products. Not just a Linux for Dummies book (I wonder how much in common
ithas with Unix for DUmmies -- prolly geared towards an end-user who needs
to secure his system) but even a selection of shrink-wrapped Linux
distributions at a not-very-free price of $80 or $90. All of a sudden
it's taking on the public presence of all the Microsoft products (I mean
that in a good way, if that's possible).

Oh BTW, it has come to my attention that in my "whinge" post yesterday
some people took it that I really thought "linux" was misspelt "linus".
Sorry. I think I'm going to go ahead and make that t-shirt with a big
long disclaimer written in legalese on the front of it. Sheesh, I'm
losing faith in the human race <---- "Not to be taken seriously"
